iPod touch not responding

I am on my photos page on my iPod touch 5th generation 32gb and i can't access any other pages. MY home button docent work so i have assistive touch on nut when ever i go to multitask or press the home button nothing happens. Ive tried using the home button on assistive touch and the lock button to perform a forced shutdown but this didn't work. When it try plugging it into my laptop it docent give me the option to trust the laptop so i can't reset it and i have no idea what els i can do.
